Time for a show lets see the 71-74's

Very cool, I didn't know that a 440 was an option in 74.

I bet that was an expensive car back in the day.

As I understand it, in 73 the 440 was only available in automatics, with the 400 slated for the manual cars, did that edit hold true over to the 74 models ?

Well I suspect that if you had the money you could probably get a manual behind a 440 in 74, would not have been cheap but I bet it happened

71 Roadrunner,

Interesting.

Is that a fiberglass shaker hood kit, or did you fabricate it?

I normally don't like stuff like that but that came out pretty good.

I know 71-74 flat hoods are tight on top clearance.

Did it help with that?

Picking this up next week, flying into Birmingham, AL and driving it home (maybe I have watched too much Roadkill?) to DFW. 71 GTX #'s matching, 727, AC, 6 way power drivers seat and speed control. Needs some work but I believe it is a great starting place to make a day 2/restmod car.

YY1, Clearance issue was the reason for the shaker set up. I put in a 493 crate with a 6 pack. Back then the rally hoods weren't reproduced and I couldn't find a used one that didn't need a lot of work and the flat hood wouldn't work. I ended up using the flat hood. The hole in the hood had to be cut and NW Performance in Olympia, WA had the bubble kit, under hood brace , the six pack base plate and trim ring.

Don't you dare but a spoiler on that beauty!!!
