Can you possibly watch one more episode of a show doing an LS conversion?

Just about every show on television these days are doing an LS conversion on just about every vehicle that they build! It is getting to be too much for me!: Anyone else on the same page?

Only a handful of hemi conversions, and all the shows talk about how good a mopar is but just a few have the 3rd gen hemi, even this mopar have an ls

we cant expect much of anything different from these shows,
when you can throw 2k at an bonestock ls3 and make 400hp and Up and it actually Idles.
when you throw 10k at an ls6 or turbos and make over 1200hp.
when you can throw 5k at a 440 and make 450 hp to 550
when you can throw 25k at a hemi and sell your liver to upgrade it even more...

Don’t hate the player, hate the game. GM and the aftermarket did a fantastic job supporting these swaps. Only took Mopar a decade to figure it out.

I do find it amusing to see an LS swapped fox body Mustang.

Haven’t seen any Mopar LS swaps thank goodness. That would be sacreligious.

I finally figured out what LS stands for.....Lacks Soul. Every time I see an old muscle car with an LS in it, I tell my wife...there is another car that had its soul removed.

I guess it depends on the senerio? I may not be a purist but putting the wrong brand motor in any make is a sin to me. Now if it's a Chevy then to me it's a smart move just like a guy putting a Hellcat crate in a Mopar or a Ford guy using a Coyote motor, plenty of horsepower, reliable and more economical.. win, win. There's those of us that collect them then there's those of us that are motorheads and want to drive the piss out of them.

I was having trouble finding a 390 engine for my 69 AMX,so I posted a thread on Moparts saying that if I could not find a 390 engine soon,I would put a 5.7 Hemi engine that I have in the car. So a member over there sold me a complete running 68 390 engine air cleaner to pan with two radiators, and all accessories for my car. He is putting an LS engine in his 68 AMX.

I would not do it.....but I can perfectly understand why some one would. Assuming its the same there as here...….an LS is much cheaper to buy than a HEMI (or even a 440), stock parts are much cheaper, aftermarket can supply just about any tuning part you want as a straight bolt on (and usually rather cheaper than the equivalent MOPAR tuning part, they respond to tuning well, they are tough if you pick the right one etc etc etc. Its a no brainer if you are not brand loyal and just want to go fast for less cash.

Lookit, owning and caring for a Mopar ain't for everybody...
We have higher standards.
If someone gets into swapping generic engines into easily forgotten cars, that's great
and is certainly cheaper on them to enjoy the hobby - in their own McDonald's sort of way....
but that ain't us.
Part of the reason I love Mopars so much. Not only are the cars cooler, the owners are typically
more discerning as well.
