OK, just for my interest....i would love to know what everyone tends to think is the best year for the RR.

Please try not to be too biased, i know its hard....i have a 69 which i truly think is the best...but anyhow, should be interesting to see what everyone thinks..

Its all personal preference so the answers will vary from 68-71. Me 71 as a Hemi Orange one came down the road one day when I was young and it stopped me dead in my tracks with the wow factor!

This could apply, of course, to so many cars in their model years that mostly ran in 'threes' before a major body change. For the Cuda and Challenger (I had both a 70 and 73 and ok, they ran 4 years) first pick for both 1970. My folks were T-Bird lovers and they had 2 '57's my first pick btw the '55-57' models. They had two '60's, first pick in that model era for me was '59. We had a '66 bird and btw '64-66 models before the body change, my 1st pick '66. GTO's, we had five of those btw my brother, mother, and me, slightly lean to '67; but a so close 2nd is '65. I could go on; but will stop...anyway much as I like the 68-69 runners, the '70 catches my eye the most. A shame that kick-*** body style was only one and done. As they say, all in the eye of the beholder...

Even though I have a 71, my favorite is the 68. First year, so pure. Bench seat, no frills, just a beast. After that, they started adding options which started to take away from the original idea.

Although you missed the 69.5 in your list. The A12 cars were pretty damn cool.

1970 for me, air grabber hood, pistol grip shifter, 383, 440+6, Hemi, axle packages, color options, awesome body style.
Forgot to include the rally dash as well.

I drove my parent's new '71 to high school for a couple of years, so how could I possibly cast my vote otherwise? Road Track Magazine named the Satellite/Road Runner line their "Car of the Year".

Photo #1: What it looked like new; photo #2: What it looks like today.

I'll go with '69 as that's what I currently have, first Mopar was a '70 RR.

Ultimately I like them all up to '74, have really come to appreciate '71 and '72 as well.

I like all of them, really. But ‘70 with 440, six barrel, and four speed is my fave. No hi impact colours, I saw one years ago in dark green jade metallic that was breathtaking. I like copper or butterscotch, as well. I don’t know what the paint codes are. I don’t care what they are.
Second fave would be a black ‘68. 383 with four gears, bench, no options. So pure, so perfect.

I have to go with 1970. I had a orange 440 Sixbarrel 4 speed Dana 4.10 car,and recently bought a 70 Road Runner convertible project car. I also had a 70 GTX 440 4 speed Dana car,all were air grabber hood cars, that hood rocks!

First and only car I bought new was a 68 runner . Lots of muscle cars from the big three but I thought the runner was the coolest.

The Chevy Vega was also a motor trend car of the year.

1970 for sure, many powertrain options available and I Love the front end! 440'
