I saw the video now with the new link, thanks. It would be helpful to have a video or picture from the driver's seat view so you can see how effective the lights are down the road. :)

I've been considering a set of those for my 70 Charger - the lights are hidden so they don't have to look "right" when they're not on. Curious to see driver-seat perspective photos...

For my '72 Satellite wagon, where the lights are exposed, I'm thinking about these for the outer hi/lo lights:

I use the Hella E-code conversion lights on my 91 Daytona, and have had them on a slew of older Jeeps, and love the beam spread. The european E-code spread is SO much better than our crappy SAE lighting here in the states...

I put HID bulbs in the H4 hi/lo's - the Hella lights are glass with metal reflectors, so I run 55w bulbs (plastic lights like my '01 Ram, I use 35W bulbs), and for the high beams I use LEDs because they turn on instantly.
 
any mods to headlight buckets to install these ?
 
Not so far. I've done the 5x7 square and the 4x6 square, on Jeeps and my Daytona, and they drop right in behind the OEM retaining ring.

So the form, fit, and function is the same as glass bulbs but you have to modify the harness as the connectors are not plug and play, correct?

I'm interested in doing this to my car. I'm thinking of taking a spare harness and modifying that instead of monkeying with the one currently installed.

I'm wondering if you can mix these as I am not yet sold I'll need a high beam. Definitely not interested on the parking lights. I prefer amber 1157NAs.
 
I have found the correct direct fit led headlight from Octane lighting
No destroying harnesses, no cutting of buckets, no modification at all. And the bulbs are replaceable in the housing. Only thing is you need a resistor if you have hidden headlights since the doors will open immediately when car turns on since no resistance in headlight circuit.

I don't get why!!! the headlight doors has nothing to do with headlights itself, except for triggering in and out the door's motor relay, and this happens just right after the headlight switch where there is not anykind of "bulb sensing".

The lack of resistance makes the relay thinks the lights are on and the doors open when the ignition is turned on. Drove me nuts fkr about an hour till I remembered that leds have no resistance.
