Hey guys, recently got a 1971 Plymouth satellite motor running, and just connected the Shift linkage assembly and installed the drive shaft. Went to spin my back tires by hand and they spin while in every gear. Shifted around a little bit and nothing changed. Checked the Linkages underneath and it seems that they are all connected and working I can hear the connection on the side of the transmission clicking through every gear. I put fluid in it about 1 pint. I can see the fly wheel is not moving when rotating the drive shaft. Transmission was working fine when i went to rebuild the motor. This is a 360 Small block with a 727 torqueflite transmission. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Make sure you have your kick down and linkage adjusted correctly.

It's an automatic, until the engine is running theres no hydraulic pressure therefore there are no gears... Park is the only place that the tires won't turn...

Engine running and torque converter bolts back in place. :)

Unless it has a sure grip, one side will always spin. And the opposite side will spin reverse from it if not in park.
