been a spell sence i been on. been just kinda lurkin in the back ground. figured id stop by and see if a 62 mite be around. .... the budget took a hit this fall when i came across a S/C 360 and just had to have it. had one back in the day that i had to sell (divorce) and kinda been looking off and on for one for 35-ish years. ... still cool site and i take notes as to what to look for. looking for "that one car" takes time. and not doing bizz on line and only doing things face to face anymore has been a challenge. ya be surprised how many folks don't want to meet anyone. if thay can't do the deal on line and put it on a truck. thay just won't do the deal. o well. yall have fun... guess i should pay my dues. ....

It's an AMC Hornet with a 360 4 barrel engine. I got one of those AMC cars,but mine has a 390 4 speed,and only seats two!

those hornets were a crazy sleeper car bitd.
esp the 360 2bbl cars that didnt get all the trim.
we used to throw 4bbls on them and dog the crap out of everyone.

my favs were the javelins,esp the Amx javelins.

the 360 = 8.5-1 comp 285hp/390 torque ran 12:99,with traction problems,with a 4:10 gear.
this is factory,and was the heavier car.
the 340 = 10.3-1 comp 275hp/340 torque ran a 12:77,with no traction problems and a 4:30 gear.

considering that 340 is underrated and had the 4:30 gear,the amc is fairly impressive.

..... 1971 AMC hornet S/C 360. this one has the go pack( ram air 4 speed 3.90 gears P code 360) and is radio deleat. no p/s and npd's npd's. she has a 401 in it now. but i did track down a date code correct 360 P code engine for it

ya .. but the amc 360 was underrated as well .... can't remember why but someone dynoed one and it came out at 315 if memory serves. and mine hit the scales at 2865 without me in it. still under 3200 with my big butt in it.
