1969 Dodge Dart Swinger... she's Home !

If I knew the safe answer to that my Bee would be smoother! LOL

I took the relatively fresh blue engine paint off the firewall of this Dart with lacquer thinner, but I sure wouldn't do that on show paint.
I ordered some Nanoskin
AUTOSCRUB Medium and Fine Grade Sponge Combo Pack [AS-017]

to try on my hood where the paint shop got clearcoat overspray on the clearcoat, if that makes sense. It's supposed to work like clay bar only you can just rinse it if you drop it on the floor.

Sweet Project Cars has a video using lacquer thinner, 99% rubbing alcohol and a urethane thinner in equal amounts of 2 oz. each to spray on and wipe off with a microfiber towel.

Proved to myself I could install Poly sway bar bushings when doing the Bee restoration and promised myself I'd never be so f'n stubborn again !

Had a blast today... all 7 hours of it doing hardware, strut rods, trans mount, sway bar mounts, etc. TBars, LCA's and a sway bar tomorrow... if I can figure out how to get it in the cabinet. Then dip the TBars and sway bar and weld some reinforcing plates onto the LCA's.

Thanks Greg... a bit sloppy to what I use to do, but my eyes have gone to hell and it's the first time I've used my TIG in over a year. Have to use 1.5 cheater glasses these days to see the bead. I don't generally grind welds, as it's taboo in the aircraft industry.

I have to "tune up" almost every weld I do. My stuff holds together but is not as nice as yours.

Media blasted again after welding and then dipped 8 times in Cosmoline, the same as I did with the Bee LCA's that still look fresh after 3500 miles..

They actually dried to the touch overnight (kept the shop at 72F) and came out nice with the colour I was hoping for. I also tore the Wilwood disc kit off the spindles so I can degrease, blast and T-9 those. Nice kit, direct bolt on mod for 10" drum brake spindles.
