Yep i'm crazy! After a couple months of waiting for the weather to get better i'm officially headed to Kentucky next week and i'm going to drive her (69 Satellite Hardtop) back! It's a matter of having more time than money at the moment. I'm hoping for no major breakdowns. I know $2000 isn't a lot for some people but that's about the best rate i could find for shipping up to my remote part of Oregon. Sent a bunch of spare parts like hoses, belts, wheel bearings, spare alternator, filters, etc down to where the car is stored. Gonna fly down for $175, buy a cooler full of food at Wally World and then drive an hour to the car. Probably spend a few hours going over the car checking fluids, brakes, etc and then hit the road. I'll be driving all day and sleeping in the backseat at night. Map says it's about 2100 miles. I'm guessing it's going to take me at least 3 days depending on the route. Thinking of going up through Missouri, over to Nebraska, through the bottom of Wyoming to Salt Lake and continue heading west on i-84 which i'm familiar with. Hopefully the weather will be good and i won't have to head south. Any last minute advice?
