It would be fun to read a complete compiled list of classic Mopar A and B bodies, ranked on sales values. I don't have the inspiration to do it myself, but I did check out the Hagerty website to research a couple of Plymouth Barracuda's value with base V-8 and automatic transmissions:

1964 Average Value $14,300 (#3, "good" condition)
1971 Average Value $28,800 (#3, "good" condition)

I haven't searched my cars, but guess they're both valued less than I have in them. ruffcut
 
just looked and fury is at #3 @ 16,700 which is really low! have about 50K invested and the RR can't find any value for it but have about the same in it. I know I'll never see that kind of money for either, but that's OK. ruffcut
Edit: Invested a lot more than that in 2 wives and thankfully don't have those anymore, but I have the 2 Plymouths!
 
69 Coronet driver might be a 3 1/2 on a good day. Maybe 20k. Thats why i keep that agreed at.
 
Now if you said the Barracuda's value, that's correct. Possessive not pural. You could even say plural possessive Barracudas'.

My opinion, yours is an easy #3 (#2 actually).... but yeah, that $35,400 for a #3 is a pretty safe bet I'd say. :thumbsup:
Also a pretty safe bet you're not approachable on selling the R/T, either my friend. :)

Since Hagerty bases their numbers almost entirely on actual market results, I tend to believe their valuations
a little more than others.
It's interesting to look at such things but if you're like a lot of us, we're not going to sell our cars anyways,
so it ultimately doesn't matter what such guides reflect.
For example, it's interesting to me that the GTX typically shows a marginal price advantage over similarly
equipped R/T's from the same year - when they're mechanically almost identical cars with very similar
levels of trim.
Why? Who knows - that's just what has happened in the market the last several years.

Oh - I also do the "agreed value" coverage with Hagerty on Fred. The number is based on what I think it
would take to find another just like him should the unimaginable happen - not necessarily what Fred is
actually worth in an open market.
 
I don’t rightly know the value of my Roadrunner, but it’s priceless to me. I would guess about $50k, but I wouldn’t sell it for that!
 
When I bought my roadrunner convertible there was no title so needed a bonded title. To do that in Az they use book value for the bond insurance needed.
They called this $60K.

According to Hagerty's tool my Challenger R/T vert is worth somewhere around 70-75K, doesn't matter it's not for sale...

Is true - I just wish more folks would use actual values (based on SOLD numbers) instead of what they
saw someone asking for a car online when doing so.
 
Valued at about $3,500 But have stated value policy at 20k 4 doors aren't worth anything. Even though "now" there are fewer of them left.

My 67 is a mutt. Original 318 car.
Solid as can be on the bottom side.
(West Nebraska car) front fender lowers needed work and as always lower outside qts. Behind the wheels and lip on wheel house. Pretty standard stuff.
Never was bare metal stripped just at repair areas.
Legendary interior, low mile 440, solid 3.23 suregrip, with a good tight 727.
Painted bumpers to help keep costs down.
I've had it since 06 and have kept track of expenses . I have right at 11k in it and figure it's worth 11 to 15k.
Insured for 20 agreed.

I really don't worry about book values - the book isn't buying my car (and they aren't for sale anyway).

My "goofy" old stuff - the turbo FWD stuff like my '91 Daytona turbo (first car I ever bought) and my '90 Voyager turbo - have never really been worth much on the market, but even their sale prices are starting to rise according to various listings, but they're just fun play toys for me.

My truck is my work vehicle (01 Cummins). It - as a 2nd gen diesel - has some market value, but it's not for sale anyway.

My Charger...priceless to me. Not for sale.

They're all paid for. They all have good insurance coverage. I can do mechanical. I have a body shop in my hip pocket if the need arises.

I don't buy vehicles (cars or bikes) for 'investments'. I buy them because I want them. If I have to sell them...I sell them for a fair price. My investments are rental properties. Buy them cheap (foreclosed), fix them up myself, rent them for a few years, then sell them if I find another one that I want to fix up. People always need a place to live. People don't always want a collectible car.
 
I see Hagerty has my 69 Coronet 440 with 383 2bbl #3 ( closer to #4 probably ) valued at 20k
but what I did not know was they only made 2532 of them in this configuration which makes this
car even more valuable to me. I have another 69 Coronet 440 with 318 and see they made 34,653 of these.
Now if I could just find one that had a 383 HP 4bbl because they only made 604 like that.

I used Hagertys scale and watched sold listings over the past year or so fro similar cars. NONE were same color combination and I think that plays a strong part in value

That said ,,, I am fairly confident mine is in the solid #2 range as for condition. and value .
The lady i talked to didnt blink when I asked for $75k agreed value.

I didnt pay that much for it. But I have turned down near that for it on more than one occasion.

BUT, like everyone else. My car is NOT for sale . God willing it will get passed to my girls . Hopefully MUCH later
