Today is a day I have been waiting for for a long time and the start to a huge project! I finally picked up a stock car chassis that is pretty much ready to go minus a drivetrain. I am planning on putting a 68 charger body on this chassis to build the ultimate 68 charger racecar! The car came with a lot of goodies seom that I will use like the 4 piston wilwood brakes, steering rack, and the quick change rear end. The main issue with this car so far is the wheel base. This cars wheel base is exactly 12in shorter than a 68 charger so that is where we are going to have to get creative! Stay tuned for more content My plan is to get this thing together pretty quick!

Thanks! I am working on getting the body on now, with a slight delay due to the snow that just came to CO haha. First test fit didn't quite work out but we will get it on!

I have a Daytona stock car project in the works too. Mine has a professionally built Nascar chassis made to fit a Charger body. Chargers are bad *** stock cars,I will be following this thread. My thread is in the Daytona/Superbird section.

It looks bad *** man. Nice work! Nothing looks better than a Charger stock car!

The 472 Hemi is in machine shop jail. Once I get it back I can assemble it. It has a Tremic 5 speed and a 9 inch rear axle. The Daytona wing is an original factory Daytona wing.

I like the fact that you are putting a Mopar driveline in your car. I saw a guy who did a similar build using a Ford fusion stock car, and he kept the Ford motor that was already in the fusion stock car. He put a 70 Charger body on his car. My car has a modern Laughlin Nascar chassis in it that was built by a Nascar shop in North Carolina. It was made to fit the Charger wheelbase and body. It is the same chassis that they ran in Nascar back in 2005. Unfortunately the guy who started the build actually cut up a nice solid 70 Charger R/T to use the body for the stock car.
