Like they say in the movie "Caddyshack", "Turds! Double Turds! Farts!"
The valve covers I was planning on using won't clear the rocker arms/shafts on my 383.
I'm sure I'm not the first one to have this problem...what valve covers might fit over rockers that look like this?
Pics of my VC's below too. Expect they'll be on the "for sale" forum pretty quick. Dang...cleaned up nice too!

You could run valve cover spacers to extend them up...'spensive tho

Maybe more specific on what exactly does not clear.

"Looks like this", is not a very precise way of determining clearance. Most major valve train companies will tell you what clears their components.
Looks like PRW makes their own valve covers for these. About $300 retail.

I ran those on my 440 with mopar performance rockers, shafts and hold downs. I might of had to grind the end hold downs for them to fit.

The shafts are the shafts are the shafts. 99% chance that the end shaft hold-downs are your problem .im betting some grinding for clearance and you can use your classic mickeys.
However, if you want to try something else..... the cast covers that summit sells under their brand name are identical to indy's, except polished, and no logo..... and $100 less. Mine needed work though too.

The o.p. hasnt said if he has stock iron or aftermarket aluminum heads. It looks to me like iron.
If he has iron, some of the fabbed aluminum covers like the prw's shown above WILL NOT WORK with iron heads, due to the stock hold-down bolt angle of iron heads.
Edit: and i think what was suggested was to grind clearance on the end rocker hold-downs, not the covers or shafts.
