I'm not a fan of fast food but there are those days where you don't have anything to pack for lunch or you're out on the road all day and need to eat but $10??

I occasionally go out.. maybe once a week for lunch and in the last year have seen a huge shift in prices but only in fast food. We have Burger King, Taco Bell, McDonald's and Wendy's.. all of them are $10 or close to it for a meal by the time you pay?! Right down the street I can go to Chipotle and eat good fresh food for the same price? I don't understand how restaurants like Texas Roadhouse or any of my favorites Mexican restaurants are still charging $10-15 for a much better meal?

Inflation my friend. They charge what they can get away with.

You pay for the brand not the food. Do you enjoy the brand that much?

Most grocery stores and gas stations will have a little deli, with better food at better prices. I don't know how the fast food chains stay in business TBH.

A lot of these places have an app that include deals, not posted on their regular menu(s). I know its one of those "i will never download a fast food app" but honestly, you save quite a bit and you gain reward points. I'm cheap. :)

If they all raise prices then they will all get it. Folks addicted to Fast food can’t get away from it, it’s formulated that way.

if y’all quit buying that garbage they would close the doors. Your, body prefers food instead of garbage.

Do a test, go buy a mickey D plain burger. Leave it wrapped in the bag an put it on the shelf in the house. Look at it next year and there will be no mold on it. It will just sit there and never degrade. The degradation happened when it was produced.

I don't eat that crap so I can't comment, except. If you haven't noticed, everything's on the up & up, maybe you should get out more and look at the prices of everything!!!!!! There a new term for that but that would turn this Political, but it's called XXXinflation!

That garbage has been overpriced for years.
I’m with ya on the Chipotle.

I bought 2 burritos & 2 bottled waters the other day
$18 :BangHead:

How else can they pay them $15/hour but to pass that cost on to the patrons

White Castle is still reasonable around 70 cents a burger. Of course you will need at least six!

I suppose in your case, one being tethered to a cell phone, that an app would make sense. However, it isn't worth installing of the app to entice me to eat fast food at all. It isn't real food if you really think about it. Going to a Deli or a grocery store deli, is a way better alternative and it is just as fast as those fast food joints. Maybe the cost is trying to keep up with fast food workers DEMANDING a "living wage" for flipping burgers! This world is screwed up.

ALL the restaurants around here have gone up a good 30% over the past year.....

It's not FAST food when you have to wait over 20 minutes to get to the pick up window and the food still isn't ready yet! /$&;%$?

I don't eat that garbage but everything is more expensive if you haven't noticed. Transitory inflation my ***! Hang onto your wallets, it's going to get worse. 440'

They are unable to get anyone to go back to work so they are forced to pay more. There are a number of places near me that have had to close their seating areas because of lack of staffing.

It’s rare I eat fast food….may stop at Subway when traveling….anyway when $15.00 an hour is entered into the equation we all can see why the prices are where there at….If Fast Food Restaurants we’re trying to survive with mind sets like myself there would be no fast food…..I don’t stimulate the economy that way…I try to eat REAL food when at all possible……

I agree. McDonald's is now closer to Applebee's prices? And Applebee's burger is far better. And I can get a beer! But they're beer prices are a little high. So I guess they will get you one way or another?
