McDonald's is now closer to Applebee's prices? And Applebee's burger is far better. And I can get a beer! But they're beer prices are a little high.

While studying Spanish during the summer of 2009 in Madrid, Spain, I went to a McDonald's one afternoon just to see what it was like. Come to find out, I was able to order a draft beer along with my burger.

Classic fast food used to be edible. Today it is microwaved and served luke-warm and mushy.

It amazes me that anyone eats at McD. Take an extra 15 minutes and support a local mom and pop place!

As my wife likes to say everything goes up except our pay.
It seems to me that most of the restaurants we go to have increased there prices, not just fast food.
I live in Reno and we have some decent food here, if you know where to go.
Now a good Basque restaurant we like has had price creep over the last year or so, and a favorite restaurant in a big Casino raised up there price about 20% overnight. Even though we can afford it we decided to stop going.

I just had a Burger King. Wasn't terrible. And less expensive than McDonald's. Probably why they are closing left and right around my neck of the woods. I just happened to be in area.

Agreed. I used to like Taco Bell but anymore I don't like any fast food, yes I can tolerate it in a pinch but definitely don't seek it out. Chipotle on the other is awesome, fortunately with them growing it's our go to place while on the road.

I try to avoid fast food at my age, but if I do get it, I like Arbys. You can hardly get any of the meals at Arbys for under $15. I’d buy the minimum wage adjustment but they’re all going to self serve kiosks. It’s profit driven and anywhere they can eliminate labor they will.

Think of it as a Mexican type of Subway, you tell them bowl, burrito or taco then what kind of beans, meat, salsa, rice, guacamole, lettuce, etc. My favorite is a chicken fajita burrito with mild salsa and cheese mmmmm.

The main reason that fast food prices are what they are, is that folks keep buying the product.

Don’t really do fast food…but yesterday only had a little while between work stuff so ran to McDonald’s. Big Mac meal was $11.00 I think. Didn’t taste $11.00 worth either.

I'm not trying to sell it but give it a try, I've yet to meet someone who can't concoct something they don't love. The beauty of it is you can make it taste however you like and it's fresh food.
