So I’m starting to get the wiring harness for the engine, transmission and body harness sorted out.
I ran across a weird one on the CBID as Mopar calls it which receives the speed signal from the transmission and inputs it to the CAN bus. The Dakota Digital speedometer picks it up from there then.
The MOPAR instructions say the CBID can be mounted anywhere but that it must “…have a view of the sky…”.
No problem but it’ll look a bit funny sitting up on the dash with a harness and connector.
Anyone understand why the device needs to “see the sky”? Will The Mopar gods be sending down messages from heaven or something? Maybe they’ll be uploading my driving data?
