Hello all. I purchased my 67 R/T about three years ago and noticed that even though I’m 6 foot tall, I seem to sit low and far back from the pedals. So I decided to investigate a learned that apparently, the previous owner must have been very tall and removed the factory seat rails and replaced them with angle iron.
Well, I decided to tackle this problem and purchased a set of correct, factory seat rails. I planned on installing floor insulation and thought this would be an opportune time. Here are the seats now with the correct rails.
This is the issue I am having. I cannot seem to locate factory holes on the floor pan that line up with the seat rails. The previous owner had installed new floor pans and drilled holes to fit the incorrect rails. There are a couple of holes that have the correct width, but the length between holes front to back is too long. The floor pans are stating to look like Swiss Cheese. Can anyone help with the correct hole placement? Distance from sill over to first hole and distance from the rise for the back seat forward to the rear hole for the bucket seat? If I have thos dimensions, I think I can figure it out. Here is what I’m looking at now. Thanks!
