HOT WHEELS BIG BUCKS

Then I have to wonder how much my Hot Wheels Club Member Boss Hoss Mustang with the little button is worth? Never run or came out of the sponge bag that it came in until it dry rotted.

Button probably adds a little bit more. Not quite enough to retire on...but a nice car.

I started to sell my collection after Covid started. I've sold 52 cars still in the packaging for some serious US $$$.

How much did the others go for? How much do you think they would go for used and without original packaging?

I'm down sizing and getting ride of a lot of stuff. I have several boxes of Hot Wheels stuff. Probably 60 cars, most from 1967 to 1969. When I go on line and look, I'm surprised how cheap they are. And those are asking prices, not selling prices. If I spent a year trying to sell the stuff individually, I bet I would not get more much more than $500 for the whole lot. I'm going to sit on it and play with it in retirement and maybe with grand kids, if they care.

Had probably 1000's of them at one time.
I just found these today, they were played hard, 1/4 scale mile at a time. 1970 dated dragsters, 1969 Funny Cars.
Thought they were long gone.

Since this post started back in June, clean Hotwheels Redline prices have doubled and even quadrupled!

Funny, mimics the costs of real G2 Chargers... LOL I am not hating on anyone but to pay $12K for a Hotwheels car is ridiculous but then so is $10K for a rusted roller G2 Charger.... But so long as everyone is happy then so be it.

There are some that are alot more. Its a fun hobby

Did you try to aquire the Brown one from Sid?
A real Brown Charger is very expensive. In todays market over 20k. Only 2 or 3 known. No disrespect to the original post, but the brown charger shown appears to be a repaint.

Totally agree.

I'm very happy. That $12,000 Charger is small change. I sold two vans for alot more than what the Charger sold for, one sold for 5 times of the Charger price and the other one went for 7 times Charger price. We were both very happy with the deal!!!!! They both went to a private collector of rare Hot Wheels in Europe.

That picture I found is off the net. Did you read post #9. The Charger I sold was still in the original packing.

Sorry I missed that. I thought you meant that particular car.

Here are some of Sids cars from about 20 years ago. Your looking at a few hundred thousand dollars on that table. The pink BeachBomb was $70,000 alone!!

Unbelievable! I have a bunch of Nascar from the '90s and some John Deere tractors that I just like to look at. I never thought any Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars could ever be worth more than $5-10 dollars at the most. Makes me think back to my childhood and all of the ones that I wore out and dont even know what happened to them.
Cool collections!
