So F#'n Tired of WINTER!!!! 2014

Remy is tired of it for today too.....drying out after a romp in the snow.

We got maybe 3 inches in my neck of the woods. But of course, the damn snow blower broke a sheer pin, and the new ones I bought had shanks that were .020" too thick. So I had to grind them down, then adjust the height of the snow blower using the skids. These needed some repair and hardware replacement too! All this was outside with 30 degree temperatures and a stiff wind.

Yeah, I know: Many of you have MUCH worse conditions you have to work in, but I still say my needed repair still kinda sucked!
We got 4-5" here in north Jersey. My breakdown wasn't as bad as Hawk's. The pull rope on my snow blower broke. Luckily it just started on that pull. Cleared the driveway and sidewalks and never shut it off. Replaced it after in the garage. Wasn't too bad.

It's zero here too. "feels" like is -13* but it will go back to the usual tomorrow. The next chill day will be Saturday then back up again. Not so bad, better than weeks at those temps would be. Bonky donkeys and sheep sheep will be staying indoors today.

Balmy -28C(-18F), -36C(-33F) with the wind, this morning. Think I'll wait 'till this afternoon to open the back door today... need to plow, but not even gonna try and start that '98 GMC 'till it warms up a tad...

Here we are a 0* today all day as a high, and you have it MUCH worse!

All of our livestock are staying in the barn today. It's about +20* inside there while it's -3* outdoors and full sun.

I wouldn’t care if it was 40 below and two feet of snow on the ground as long as the sun was shining. Illinois has to be the gloomiest states to live in. If they wrote a book about it, it would be called “300 days of gray”.....
