Where is the best place to get the boost signal for the fuel pressure regulator?

I pull my signal from the hat. It is the closest to the bowls and that is the pressure the pump has to overcome.

That makes the most sense. On this car, they have the boost pressure line to the fuel pressure regulator coming from the hat, and it has a T fitting with a line going to the base plate of the carb. I dont see why they would have done that?

I am chasing a problem with this engine. I can go wot for about 5 seconds, then the engine just lays down like it lost all fuel pressure. Boost gets to about 12 pounds when this happens.

I want to make sure They have the regulator referenced right before I go further.

So what is the fuel pressure when it slows down???

That I dont know yet. There is a pressure gauge on the regulator, but I cant see it from the drivers seat. I ordered a boost gauge, fuel pressure gauge, and dual AFR gauge from Summit. When I blip the throttle at the engine I can watch the fuel pressure rise from 6 psi to around 10 psi.

How quickly can the engine pull down the fuel level in the float bowls? This is the combo; Indy cylinder Head 528 Hemi, Procharger F1.

So at this point you are only speculating a fuel issue. You had better quit running it until you can monitor it. If it is running out of fuel and going lean you will make quick work out of it.

Mallory recommends connecting the boost line to man vacuum.
