Come on now. I’ve watched every episode of trailer park boys. Gun violence is alive and well in Canada. There is one important thing you have to understand about Canada ... very few murders are committed against, for lack of a better term, "innocent victims". The vast majority of shootings, stabbings, etc are ethnic or gang related - with most perps and victims having names ethnic origins. Yes, we've had a number of mass killings by whackos over the past few years but most of those again were ethnically or religiously motivated. You generally do not have to worry about someone coming up and putting a gun in your face, an armed robber coming into a convenience store or a sniper taking pot shots at you. The vast majority of us don't have steel security bars on all our home windows and doors nor do we have 5 locks on every door. With pretty strict gun laws we're a pretty safe country to live in. We sure as hell don't need advice from Americans about gun laws !!
But seriously my sympathy goes out to victims and families.
In today’s world you need to be ready and able to defend your right to life. No natter what your government tells you. Better to be in jail alive then in a casket.
