Yes, I've seen claims from 20 to 29 for him, but he was also known to make claims on dates when no such enemy aircraft went missing. Regardless, he was shooting down prop planes.

Giora Epstein, flying for the Israeli Air Force shot down 16 enemy jets and one helicopter. Also the oldest fighter pilot, he didn't leave the cockpit until he was 59.
