What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Tore all the covers off my new toy to check all the belts (I got all new ones as spares with the machine) and a blade check. Good thing I got the old hoe running so I could lift it up. Found a bad tensioner pulley bearing. Caught it just in time as another hour or so and I'd need more than a $10 bearing.

45HP x 4 cylinder turbo Kubota engine. Gotta be the smallest turbo i've ever seen.

If that deck has the Eaton gear box keep an eye on it and change the oil frequently. We had the 100" at my old job and the gearbox blew up twice and it's not fun to change it out. It is nice to mow on though

Welded up some 1/4 steel making column post feet and header bracket for my mezzanine. Wanted something sturdy and the industrial look. Plus much cheaper and stronger doing it yourself.

Trailered a 54 IH R110 p/u from Sac to Meridian, ID for a good friend of mine. He bought the truck two weeks ago while here visiting and had no way to get it back so I offered to tow it. Left Thursday and came back yesterday. While the wife and I were there I bought his 2020 Avalon Hybrid Limited. We needed a new daily driver and the trailer was going to be empty going home anyway...

Cool truck!

Pretty close. He's going to wipe it down with boiled linseed oil on a light Scotchbrite pad. A few YouTuber's use the technique on their barn finds.
You should watch the Power Nation video where they went to a junkyard and tried 4 different methods then checked on the results in a few days/weeks.

Recovered our cast iron Franklin stove from the bottom of the river. It blew off of our dock about 4 years ago during a severe thunder storm. Been waiting for the right time to retrieve it! Wife Pam and Tavish the Westie supervised and were safety watch.

Got the lifting beam in place.

That looks like fun.

The rigging is in place and ready to lift. The water is about 6 feet deep. I am actually standing on top of the stove in the photos.

Once we get it out and on the dock, still have to get it down the walkway, across the road and back to the workshop.

Re-rigged the ramp and started the horizontal pull to get it on the dock.

Got it across the road into the driveway. Everyone should have a pallet jack!

Used to have a pallet jack but wasn't using it much for anything so I sold it. 100% profit too. Someone left it out in front of the storage building I used to have so I stuck it inside and put out the word that I had it and no one came forward. After having it for months and not using it.....it got advertised.

Went to the local Big-Box hardware store for some Duck Tape :poke: and spotted Batman's ride parked out front.

The Dark Knight no less.... plates to match ....didn't get a pic of the plate...but it was something like "DRKNGT" :)

When we came out .....'Bruce' was driving away - his helmet had the pointy ears and he was wearing a cape.
My son thinks he might be the guy with a tricked-out Audi done up as the Batmobile.
