Looking to see if anyone has had any experience with custom cam grinds for a 505 stroker? Or possibly off the shelf? I'm looking for as much torque in the low end that I can get for cruising speeds (1500-2300 rpm) it's a restomod that I drive alot (power tours, and a up and coming route 66 trip) trying to get the best fuel milage possible.
Motor is a 505, super sniper efi, ported sidewinder heads, 10:1 compression, edelbrock rpm dual plane intake, currently has a comp cams XR286-10 cam. Runs good over 2500 rpm but not where I want it on the lower rpms. Cam is 110 lsa but would like a 112 to help with idle/low rpm tuning.
Trying to put together a list of companies people have used so I can compile a list of people to call and talk to

Also, I don't know if it's relevant but I plan on switching to a edelbrock pro flo 4 XT multi port fuel injection intake but use holley dominator for ecu

Was going to order edelbrock rolling thunder cam #2206 designed for efi but not sure if there was something better

One of the best custom grind companies is Bullet cams. I use them a lot. 112lsa min with 114 being great for lower end and vacuum.

Doing my own research (some of them old posts and not sure if they are in the game anymore) are;

Bullet- Tim Goolsby?
Jones Cam
Engle
Dwayne porter
Schneider racing cams
Hughes

I'm sure they are good with carb motors but not sure of their experience with modern EFI cam profiles

The Edelbrock cam you mentioned seems to be a go to for the 500” combos for drivability and everyone offers a version of it. I agree with NX that it would idle smoother on a 114 or even 116 lsa. EFI will give you the ability to tune it to run nice regardless.

112 is the lowest I plan on going, I'm open to other lsa that would match my combo/purpose

I'm running a Comp hydraulic roller 110lsa 106 install, w .541/.537 lift, 230/236° in my 496. I run Fitech efi. It's got great low end but not enough overlap, I get detonation and 197psi cranking pressure. I'm on the fence about Hughes roller for bottom end torque myself. They recommended a hydraulic roller SER4246BL. .551/.555 lift 242/246° 110lsa 106° installed. They didn't recommend a custom grind due to an 8 month backorder on custom grinds and about the same for solid rollers. Not sure about mileage, GV O/D 3.73 gears, 26.5" tires, cruise 3kish at 80. Get 8 in town and 10-11 on the highway w the EFI.

It’s not overlap causing that, it’s intake closing point. Drop it back to a 110 degrees intake centerline and check the cranking cylinder pressure again. That cam is definitely on the small side for a 500”.
