According to an MSN article today the "science" answer is 30 years old:

I don't know about males, but in my opinion, women are most attractive at 19 years of age, level off there for a few good years, then slowly decline as their age catches up to them.

What a conversation! This seems to me very juvenile. Do you look like yourself 30 years later? We supposedly mature, I can name several couples that will say they are each still loving their looks after many years of marriage. We have and know people that for their age still look beautiful. When I was young almost any young female was attractive. Testosterone !
I have absolutely no idea how old the responders of this are, but I find my wife still beautiful after over 50 years of marriage.

Prime for women is age 34 to 38. Before that they are interesting, but annoying. After that they are annoying and not interesting.

I've noticed the media pushing the idea that post-fertility women are super hot and how dare you sexualize a woman young enough to make babies!

When I was a boy my mother told me the perfect age for a woman was 16, and you can see that reflected in songs like Ringo Starr's "You're 16, You're Beautiful, and You're Mine," or Billy Idol's "Sweet 16." Of course we are now too enlightened to believe such a thing. Pity about our birth rate though.

I'm going to say the perfect age for a man's physical appearance is 23-25, although there's much more leeway and it's not as important as his status and income. If your ideal is to have a man who can provide for his own family with his own money (now, not sometime in the future, if ever), that man will typically be over 25.
