Seems to me that they had had the site down for a few days about a year or so ago for upgrades, but nothing really changed.
I guess what do you expect from the site owner who only devotes an hour every week or two?

Their site has no advertising as far back as I can remember. That must mean that they are entirely self funded. It isn't as if they are losing money being offline.
I signed up. But never posted. It seems kinda dead.

I've been a member there forever. I don't get you guys bashing it. Regardless of how much or how little traffic they get, it's a great source of tech info.
Long before I knew this site existed, I posted there for many of my cars changes and proceeded to forget how i did some things. I was able to use it as a reference for my own changes lol. I hope it doesn't go away.
Ad free is nice too. I'll say the ads here are not bad. Have you tried Moparts lately? Ads have really downgraded that place in my opinion. However, another great tech archive.
Anyone remember Moparchat? that was my first forum I ever went onto but they ruled it with an iron fist. about a billion years ago I got suspended for quoting and Lol'ing a post from someone else criticizing the admin. My man put up a post with the title "....admin(forget his name) can suck my balls!" absolute classic!
I've lurked here forever but only joined recently and I like this place.

Many people here now were there first, but for a number of reasons were driven off/turned off from that site and found a more tolerant atmosphere here. The site is virtually a ghost town and the site owner refuses to upgrade the site to make it more user friendly. Try posting pictures there and you’ll see what I mean. It’s truly unfortunate, but this is all a result of bad management.
Oh god, I forgot about the pictures. Yeah that's a pain and I get what you're saying about being driven away. Kind of why I left moparchat and there are definitely some colorful personalities over at Moparts. I hope they all stay around forever though. I'd guess the forums are one of the tools I use most when first diving into something because as much as wel all like to think we are innovating, someone somewhere has had that same question or done whay you are doing. Youtube is getting there for me too. Unfortunately, a lot of the smaller channels haven't figiured out that talking endlessly repeating the same things over and over make their "how to" unbearable.

There is a seasoned member on the forum that somehow....after 75+ years on the planet, decided that it wanted to pretend that it is female. This person was known before in the hobby for having a few rare and desirable Mopars but resurfaced later as a "Hemi Chick".
Reading the posts from this person, you'd think it was a reasonable citizen with no perverted tendencies of any kind.
