Yes! and they don't pay a penny in road taxes. Give them 4 feet, or the whole road, by law. Who wrote that law?
EV's don't pay a penny in road tax, either. We world-destroying fossil-fuel ICE-drivers pay the road tax so the EV's have a place to drive. That will have to change.

Not so fast. This was a year ago already. They'll chisel some cash out of them..

Easy way to do it.. every year before registration renewal you have to bring it in for a safety inspection. They plug in to the computer, it records the mileage, and they pay tax based on mileage from previous check.

And $150/yr is cheap compared to what you pay in road use tax when buying gasoline.. big rigs got it worse... they get nailed at the pump, and some states like NY have a HUT (Highway Use Tax) that they have to have a decal on truck to prove they've paid for the year

Use a match book cover as a feeler gauge. Pretty close to .020.
Very true but who carries a book of matches with them anymore. If you're driving a Mopar with points I'd just put a feeler gauge in the glove box next to the spare ballast resistor.
