It's an original paint car. The holes were punched from under the weelwell and are dimpled inward.
Those can be welded in or filled with lead if you are not interested in replacing them. I'd forge ahead without reservation.

It's a good time to do Kern Dogs wheel well modification and weld up the holes at the same time!

Yep… you’d be able to fit a 315 section tire if you desire.
 
If you flatten punch holes from side with the burr easy to solder holes closed. Can solder them closed even without flatting.
 
Changed the oil pan, mounted the QA1 K frame and bellhousing. The frame connectors are getting welded on Tuesday & premounting the engine & transmission will soon follow.

When this charger is done,it will perform n handle better than any other charger youve owned.
