Hearing loud banging under heavy acceleration...

I just don't want it to sit too high.
Kind of like where it is. I've also upgraded a lot of things. These stock springs are probably feeling more torque than the ever had. At least I know my floor boards are solid.

Nice car. But it’s pretty low all around. Wouldn’t hurt to raise this car a little bit all around.
 
Don’t waste money on a pinion snubber, especially if it’s lowered. It’ll just push the pinion down and the car will porpoise. Been there done that. Get a set of caltrac bars or if it’s street only, even a cheap set of slapper bars will keep the axle housing from rotating up.
The car came stock with a ponion snubber... Not the Race Adjustable Pinion Snubber... Just the OE Piece that keeps the driveshaft from rubbing on the floor when ever you accelerate...

Course his other option is....

Put ladder bars on the car!! Just as cheap as CT's and work better on heavy cars....in my experience with the CT's at least. :D
Just put on a stock snubber and see what the thing does. I pretty much already know.....

Need to lower the ballast resistor by at least an inch or so...
 
You could always cut a hole or bang
some of that annoying sheetmetal up
with a hammer. Doesn't look like it's
too bad......
 
If you just install a pinon snubber, you'll probably still have a violent wheel hop. ESPO will make you springs with whatever ride height you want, +- inches from factory height.

Violent Wheel Hop?? I've experienced that on Fords & Chevies... But never on a Mopar... The short front spring segment tends to limit axle wrap up... You might blow the tires off but wheel hop??? Never in my experience...

I would try the snubber first.
If the OP is experiencing this condition
under just normal accelerations.
If he's jumping on it to the point of
abusing the system there's no way to
tell if the springs are the weak point,
without knowing a few more
parameters. More umph in the engine,
lower gears, snubber in place, etc.
You'll get wheel hop in just about
any car with leafs if power plants
and traction conditions can overdrive
engineered designs. One step at a
time, and no second guess.

I had wheel hop on my 1970 Charger when I first got it. It was originally a 318 car, but had a 440 in it. It was like a jackhammer. The first time it happened to me, it was so violent I was sure something broke. This was 20 years ago, I bought a set of the Mopar Performance 440/Hemi springs and it never happened again.
 
I wouldn't say I have wheel hop. This just started maybe a month ago and gradually gotten worse. I think the springs have just gotten weaker with age, plus with the added torque it's gotten worse.
I'll start with pinion snubber, but I'm sure I'll need springs.
And what is stock height? I don't even know?
Btw... I have no ballast resistor. I've got you all beat.
