I have a 1973 Charger with 14” Rallye wheels. Currently wearing 265/70r14 tires. I acquired some vintage slot wheels. Backs are 15”x10” and fronts are 15”x8”.

So my query is:

What size tires would look best? 255/60R15 back with 255/70R15 front

Or

265/59R15 back with 265/70R15 front

Pick for chits and giggles

Oh man. That's like asking "what is the best color?" You might have to search through the forum for some of the wheel and tire posts.

Have you checked the backspacing on both wheels ? If you already have the wheels, install sans tires, and measure for fitment.

Most of the vintage slots I’ve seen 8-10” wide have 3-1/2 to 4” backspace.

I have 295/50/15 inch tires on 15x10 dragstars on my 73 Charger..
Post a photo. Those are a little short (in my opinion). I'm pushing the 325/50's - because they're wider they're also a tad taller. The 295/50's are only 26.8" tall with a 12.2" cross section. The 325's are 28.3" tall and 13" in the cross section. With close to an inch more thread. But the point is the height fills the well a bit better.

These also take full advantage of a 10" wheel.

I was being sarcastic. You'd think he was rolling on a $3k set of Foose Legend wheels.

16 posts about aluminum slots and not one pic.......if anyone had posted a Mopar, I'd have spared you all the AMC

That's a 9 1/4 Mopar rear. These cars have big wheel wells at a minimum you need 245X60 front 275X60 rear IMO. That's what I ran on my 71.
