Seeking advice for tire size on vintage Slot wheels

dana 60 looks nothing like that

You will want to replace that 9 1/4 with an 8 3/4 axle. Dana 60 rear axles for 71 to 74 Mopar B body cars are priced in the 3 to 4 grand range if you can even find one.

My 73 has an 8 1/4” rear end. Is the 9 1/4” not an improvement?

IF the 9 1/4 is the right width, and IF it has a gear ratio you want, than yes, the 9 1/4is an improvement, and I seriously doubt that i would hunt for an 8 3/4 if the 9 1/4 is usable, ESPECIALY if the 9 1/4 has a sure grip (unlikely however).
As for tires, you got good advice above to fit the wheels before buying tires, to see if the backspace you have works. A 10" slot is hard to fit on anything without a full open radius wheelwell . Fortunately, you have one.
I would buy a 60 aspect ratio for the rear if it fits (275/60x15), and something the same height for the front (235/70x15?). 295 60 would be better on the rear...IF it fits.

I don't think those are custom. I had a set of those on my early 90's ferd ranger.
Don't mind, wheels and tires are the men's boob lifting problem I discovered. Big wheels and tires are a kind of viagra to elevate the coolness of his classic car I suppose :).

I like slots, magnum 500s, cragars, and others. But it's a fact that cragars look awesome. You can't refute the evidence. The science is settled.

Just like wearing white Nike sneakers. Monkey business for the masses (here we go again). I think I know where the 'spoke' Cragar fetism comes from, the American horse wagon era?

Yeah, those Magnum 500's you're going back to - talk about wheels for the masses!

Just back to originality where the car belongs. No inch mindfuck for me. No desires to beat my companion with greater, bigger, wider and also not interested in joining any Cragar herd :) and then looking at each other's Cragars... Just a few men can mentally bear 14" inch classic wheels. I am one of them...:steering:

N50's work good on 10" wheels. They are too short for me. I always ran L 60's on 8" wheels.

I believe the suggestion was for a 215/70 for the front
215s are too narrow for an 8"wheel too. (recommended for 5.5-7)
Smallest recommended for an 8 is a 235, 70 or 60. (6-8").
(I had 225/60s on a 15x8.5 cause that's all that would clear the fender, they looked ridiculous).
A 295 is recommended for an 8.5-10" rim

I have a 1973 Charger with 14” Rallye wheels. Currently wearing 265/70r14 tires. I acquired some vintage slot wheels. Backs are 15”x10” and fronts are 15”x8”.

So my query is:

What size tires would look best? 255/60R15 back with 255/70R15 front

Or

265/59R15 back with 265/70R15 front

Pick for chits and giggles

Do you have 265's on the 14"?

I’m confused by this question
I guess he's wondering about the 265/70x14.
According to tiresize.com, there is no such tire (anymore? Maybe there was at one time)
Also, a 265 is pretty wide for a 5.5" rim. (Biggest, widest 14" tire, short of a drag radial, of which I can find a total of TWO, in 14", would be a 245/60x14).
