LCA struts

While cleaning and painting my Lca struts I not8ced the ends look deformed. I'd this normal or should I think sbout replacing them. They appear to be after market as they don't have a hole for a cotter key.

they do not look bent its more like the ends were pushed into a hollow tube deforming the tube upon entry. but if you roll them on the ground they are just fine.

That's probably just the way they were originally.

They look like factory ends to me,(bulbous).

I think those oem strut bars are forged. And are stronger than aftermarket parts . As long as the threads are good. I'd use them.

The main load here is only in tension.
Nothing I see concerns me, even if odd.

Be more specific and I might be able to address your question.
My above statement is accurate.
Also consider, they are often and/or used to be called "brake struts".

They're normal. Even the threaded ends are kind of disfigured.

Not all of them had the holes for the roll pin.
