The story of another B-17G that was the one with the highest rate of mission ever. 42-40003 served first at Kimbolton, Uk in 524 Bomb Squadron of 379 Bomb Group and then in the 490 Bomb Group at Eye Base. With a total of 157 missions was top aircraft in 8th AF.

Canadian Pacific Airlines De Havilland Comet, in 1953. This aircraft crashed on takeoff from Karachi, Pakistan (stalled, pilot error) while being delivered to Australia. This resulted in the first ever jet powered commercial airliner to have a passenger fatality.
