Hello I installed re carpet and seat . I and other process or installer the rear quarter interior panels . I am not sure if the rear carpet is trimmed to fit under the lower edge of the panel or sits over the panel with an unfinished edge . I attached a picture for reference . Thanks

Then there is a screw that goes thru the hole here into a little bracket.

I would leave enough that it goes up the side a bit.
It's been a bit since I was inside the rear panel

Thanks

Thanks , about how many inches of the floor carpet slides under the quarter trim panel? Thanks
I had it go over to and up about 1.5 to 2 inches from what I recall. Tucked the part behind into that rubberish trim piece that covers the sheet metal edge. Trimmed to fit the curve first.

Hello , is this raw edge covered , does the 66-67 use sill plate extensions. Just looks unfinished to me

Kind of hard to tell what panel this is. Guessing the quarter panel by the rear seat? That vinyl should be glued around the edge and yes has that "look".

Original (albeit ugly) carpeting in an early '66.

It's actually very nicely finished from new without gawdy trim pieces. The carpet was originally folded and double stitched with velcro strips sewn in. Alot of effort was put Into making these interiors a cut above everything else

Yes quarter panel by rear seat . My question is what to do with the extra section on vinyl and carpet . This is an after market carpet set by ACC. I wrapped and glued the vinyl around the quarter panel already I ams left with a few inches of extra material . I added a better picture .

Cool Thanks! I have never seen Velcro in my other Mopar’s .

Sorry for all the questions. The carpet on the rear quarter panel is that trimmed to be even with bottom side of the panel. Right now I have 3 inches of over lap on the floor pan carpet

I have never seen original 66 or 7’s that didn’t have factory Velcro

I see the Velcro now in this picture I found on this site . The ACC carpet is unfinished on the bottom edge . Looks like the original carpet was folded over at the edge and sewed . The ACC kits carpet has a different backing and does not fold over very well.

Here is the picture I located on this site

I think that might have a shiny back surface. Possibly you could take a hair dryer or heat gun, warm it up and fold it.
On the floor carpet which I left in the box too long, I used a suit/dress steamer. Worked well.

That carpet on the bottom is folded to the backside and glued.
