Looks like the same retractors, but those are much better latches. If you talk with Seat Belt Planet, let us know what they say.
 
What brand and any pictures?
I bought my belts from Wesco. I initially tried to use the seatbelt bolt for the retractor and belt anchor. That didn't work so I made a bracket and installed the retractor in the rear foot well bolted through the double seam in the floor. It lined up directly under the roof mount and worked way better. I did not use a sash extension, but then again this was in an A body.

The difference in A, B, and E bodies mounting points made at big difference in the function and fit.

Later on this week, when we're back home, I'm going to look into seeing how that might work out.

Got the a/c charged today, but we had to hot wire the compressor clutch to energize it and circulate the freon. It's either wired wrong or a blown fuse. Got to look into it tomorrow.
 
No, we checked it with a test light & there just was no juice to it.

Assuming you have a cycling type system it could be the pressure switch. I just fought with a bad pressure switch on one of my cars. Check if it has juice just before the pressure switch (maybe you did that)

Tracing things back, it appears the the issue lies with the trinity switch. Current goes into it when the a/c is switched on, but it’s not going out to the compressor.

Got to order a new one.
 
1. A noise & vibration coming from the steering rack when turning the wheels while not moving or at very slow speed.

Did you see any air bubbles in the reservoir fluid?


Yeah, the rack noise is the biggest issue. I have cycled it lock to lock several times to no avail. I do have a cooler on it. It’s not an RPM issue as it will do it (at a stop) with the engine revved to 2 grand.

Did you do an initial bleed by cycling it lock-to-lock a bunch of times (like 15+ times) with the engine off?

Front tires off the ground of course. Keep an eye on the fluid level in the reservoir of course. Best to have a helper and a bright flashlight. Watch for bubbles when checking the level.

Check the fluid level periodically. Check for air bubbles too of course.

Plan B: Bleed while applying a vacuum to the reservoir. A handheld vacuum and modify a spare cap to add a fitting.

Worse in one direction than the other? I don't have any guesses.
