A Second World War-era B-17 bomber became engulfed in flames after making what appeared to be an emergency landing in a cornfield in Oswego, Illinois. Seven passengers aboard the Liberty Belle had a lucky escape after the plane ditched in a cornfield shortly after take-off.

Wow, I never thought about how much easier the P-39 would be to work on. No ladders. I wonder if the motor installs from the bottom, like a B-body?
