The misspelling is on purpose related to Stephen King's book. The movie I'm watching now is a prequel. Not that great but the hero drives a Beaumont the Canadian version of a 68-69 Chevelle. I've read about them but never seen one in a movie. It's rockin' Pontiac Rallyes.

Has Pontiac rallies because it is a Pontiac Beaumont. We have the Chevrolet Chevelle also in the same years. Kim

I like the Beaumont SD-396's. Chevy Rat motor combined with the nice GTO style dash. There were quite a few of them in our town.

The Canadian Beaumont was offered from 1964-1968, and was sold by Pontiac dealers as a cheaper alternative to the GTO, which had to be imported from U.S.A. This car was based on the Chevrolet Chevelle, but had distinctive Pontiac-themed grill, taillights, and trim. The powertrains echoed what were available in Chevelles. The interior trim, however, was similar to GTO. The top performance trim was the SD (Sport Deluxe). As Canadian production of the GTO started in 1969, the Beaumont line was dropped.

And as I think I mentioned before, the trim packages and interiors were nicer.
