67 Coronet 14's front, 15's rear

Ok looking at old school set-up. right now I have 225/70/14 on the front and 235/70/15 on the rear. I would like to change them out to BF Goodrich 215/60/14 Front and 255/60/15 on the rear. Does anyone out there have any pictures with a similar set up?

No help on pictures but tire choices for 14's are slowly going the way of the Dodo. 15's all around would be better for you. If you do a disc upgrade, assuming it's not been done already, 15's allow you to run the 11.75" rotors. I had 14's on the wagon, with 215/70's, when I bought it. Included in the buy was a set of 15x7 cop wheels. Got them blasted/coated with 235/70 on the front and 255/70 in back. I wanted to be able to run the bigger rotors and tire size for 15 is well populated with choices. Dropped some RPM too due to the 3+" difference in tire diameter.

I have drums all around, they stop pretty good so just going to leave them drums. If I get 14's right now they will last for quite a few years. After that if I can't find any more then I will change up to something different. Would then have to buy all new rims as well.

Those 215/60-14 fronts you want are small and squatty looking on that car. I'd stick with the 225/70-14 on front.

I don't think a 255 60 15 will work on a 67 without scrubbing, if you can even get it on.

I have 205-14's on the front and 255-15's on the rear. I know it isn't a B body. 255-60's will fit on 15x7's on a 70 Swinger

That's a beauty. I like the look of the 14's on the front. You can raise the torsion bars a bit and still have a rake.

Theoretically, a 255 is a 255, whether a 50, 60, or 70. Same width supposedly, height being the difference. So, if a 255/70 fits, so will a 60.

A 255/60 would theoretically be about an inch widerin section than your current 235s. Assuming the same wheels, do you have more than a half inch room inside and out? If you do, they should work.
Still might be darn hard to get on and off the car.

I sometimes run 255/70x15s on my 62, on 15x8 ramcharger rims. (NOT enough backspace.) Tight on the outside, plenty room to the springs/inner tubs.

I need to look mine over more closely. They look like standard offset Cragars. They may only be 6" wide. I need to try and measure. if they are 7" wide they would have 3 1/2" backspace.

I don't think a 255 60 15 will work on a 67 without scrubbing, if you can even get it on.

I have read some really old threads from different forums and some have said 255/60/15 do fit on a 67 Coronet. It depends on your back spacing and rim. Guys who have used 15x7 rims no problem others have said 15x8 also work while others said slight tire rub in corners. Then there are guys who have said they have run 275/60/15 with tire rub in corners but if they roll the fender lip they are good.

So bit of a crap shoot if they will fit or not. Others also have pointed out to get their tires on and off they have to jack the car up on the frame not the diff.

But I will look and see how much room I have on the rear right now with the 235/70/15.
235/70/15 are 28" tall 9.3 wide
255/60/15 are 27"tall 10" wide

Went out a measured my tires that I have on right now, 235/70/15 and I have a good 1 1/2 inches on the inside and 1 1/4 on the outside. So the 255/60/15's should fit without any issues.
