What would you do to these windshield channel corners?

I am looking for advice from those who have gone before me (@eldubb440 I'm looking at you) on how best to address the windshield lower channel corners on my '68 Coronet. The driver's side looks like it's been previously repaired using lead. What would you do?

Check YouTube videos on how to apply lead and do it yourself.
I've always MIG welded but lead does have a place too.
 
That looks like the factory lead filler? I have always removed the lead out of those areas and mig welded the joints solid.

Cut out all the bad metal. Take your time and bend up a patch to weld in.
 
Base of the a pillar is one of several places the factory used lead. That said I agree with earlier post. Make a patch panel and weld it
 
as stated above...... I remove the lead, repair the metal, and weld it solid...... I like Marine Tex grey for a base filler over my welds
 
Buy a sheet metal shrinker and stretcher fab up some replacement pieces using the old cut out metal as templates and weld in all new metal is the best way to go.

Make sure to melt ALL of that old solder out first, otherwise welding will be impossible.

Thanks for the tip.

Question: It appears that there might be solder on the top of the cowl as well. Do I need to melt that out as well or can I leave it? (I'll likely have to fill it with filler.)
 
Lots of guys remove all the lead, personally I like using lead, done properly it's a very good long term fix that is more resistant to failure due to flex than any conventional body filler...

The drivers side still looks pretty good after 57 years... The passenger side the lead isn't what failed, the metal underneath it failed due to rust....

I get all the original lead off the car and weld the joints solid. It is in the cowl ends/lower window channels, top of the A pillars, quarter to roof C pillar, and rocker to quarter joint.
