What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

ya I'm getting there, those are the cheapest tires you can get, General's when there new they actually hook up better than the p zero's that it came with
Over the years I've had 3 different General tires come apart. One on a 73 Challenger dog eared the left front fender when my pregnant wife was driving it but was able to fix it myself. Another did over $1500 worth of damage to my 95 Dakota. Caught the 3rd one before it came apart. I hope they are better these days but I'm not going to find out lol.

Used to have a supply of Michlin Tires from my BIL whenever he took them off of his Jeep after buying new tires....235-75-15's. Only had one on my trailer that came apart but it was 20 years old!

Assembled a 3 wheel Ebike for my step daughter. Not quite done but the hard stuff is done. Just trying to decipher the Shineese to English destructions wasn't exactly easy. And it only had about 3000 tie wraps on everything which ate up nearly half the assembly time. Geez lol

Bought some 1-3/8" tubing for my new yard goods rack to replace the 3/4" black iron pipes it came with, and got the ends trimmed to fit correctly.

I discovered after I had the tubes cut that there was a slight inward angle from the bottom to the top, so had to shorten them the higher up they got.

Got the 2-piece shaft collars I ordered in, and currently designing some core plugs to go inside rolls of fiberglass CSM that have a 3.5" tube in them.

Once I get all the different size plugs 3D printed I can get the rolls loaded on. I've waiting 8 years to get a setup like this. 2025 was the year it all finally came together.

Years ago I did some 'off roading' with my 67 Dart with 3.91 gears behind a /6 3 speed stick and picked up some wire mesh that wrapped around the yoke and took out the seal. Didn't know it until the gears hollered at me. They gave me two warning howls before going into total permanent howl lol

Back to the title of the thread. Yearly vaca at the lake with the in laws.

Finished up the Ebike today and took it for a spin. Found out the handlebars weren't tight enough so fixed that before the ride....hit a blinding 11 mph!! Probably fast enough for the stepdaughter since she suffers from a brain injury nearly 40 years ago.

My ebike does roughly 28 mph using just the throttle, without any assistance. I usually turn off the electric portion and just ride the bike for the most part though. I will engage the electric assist function on the hills however, just to ease the effort I need to put on the pedals. I really like that function... LOL
