I knew that looked familiar…

That looking across the street from Tito’s Tacos. Over on Washington Place near Sepulveda. Same streetlight. Gas station off right in distance has been a repair shop for years. Apartments across the street are same. Just less greenery then.

Tito’s is extremely well known. Tons of people line up there. Over rated for the hype IMHO.

A lot of CHIPS was filmed around Culver City. MGM is in Culver City. I grew up about 7 miles away. And my mom would shop sometimes in Culver City or drive through it.

Dear John’s restaurant was there for years. Gone now.
This is on Washington Blvd (different that Washington Pl.) near Sepulveda.

The 70 340 Dart looks like the street behind Culver Motor Clinic auto repair (changed names recently)

Troy lived real close to there. His older brother remembers them filming around the neighborhood. I believe he even remembers some of the parked cars in the background.

Wonder if that was an old Cop car / Taxi?

In So Cal many taxi companies would buy old cop cars. They were cheap, well maintained and could take a beating.

I would see tons of Taxi Cab Diplomats in the 90's that were old "K" vinned police cars with A38 handling packages.
