After replacing the metal valley pan, I still have a vacuum leak. I ve never had this problem before, all I would do is put black silicone on the front and rear of the pan. Then bolt it down and put the intake on with nothing around the ports between intake and pan. Any suggestions?

Get the gasket set. Apply proper torque sequence.

Use Indian head around the ports and use thread sealer on the bolts.

Do I use it on both sides of the valley pan ports?

NOT red loctite. Something like Permatex hi-temp thread sealer

Just completely surround all the ports.

Do I have to let the Indian head set overnight before I start the car?

I always let gasket sealer set overnight myself.

Also put a straight edge on the intake , if it's aluminum you may have warped one.
Also did the heads or block get cut ?

Is this the same intake being installed on the same engine that was leak free before?
Or has something new been tossed into the mix ?
Can you see on the pan were its leaking ?

Same intake on the motor for over 25 years, and now im having problems getting it to seal. I can see where its leaking with the motor running and spraying carb cleaner.

Well that sux, I would pull it and check it with a straight edge. Find out if it's the intake side or head side thats leaking then paper gasket along with a pan both left and right ethire top or bottom depending on what side is leaking.
