Hello Gallery Gods,

My Mopar mechanic bud is closing up shop. He's had these exhaust pipes and tips for probably 15 years off someone's BB '71 or '72 Charger. He's cleaning out his shop and knew I wanted them so he gave them to me. 2" pipes, I believe original tips but aren't sure.

Before I take them to the local custom exhaust franchise, I have a few questions. I figure I have two options to put them on my '73 SB Satellite: hopefully they fit to the mufflers, bends in the right place. If not, have them cut off behind the tips and fit them to my Frankenstein exhaust (turndowns). I'm ordering new exhaust tip hangars from Classic Industries. My pipes are slimmer than 2" but figure the exhaust shop can weld in adaptors or something. Obviously I'm trying to go the cheapest possible route.

Without me raising the car up and seeing/fitting for myself, was wondering if the length on a '71 vs '73 B-body is the same. If you read about my cars in My Garage, you see I used to have a big block '72 Satellite. From the '72 to the '73 B-body, from the firewall forward the '73 is definitely shorter. But from the firewall back, the dimensions appear to be similar. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks in advance.
PS: I know they aren't the correct tips for '73-74, but the Roadrunner hood isn't correct either :)

Tail pipes are the same 71-74 so should go in without a problem. Head pipes are slightly different starting in 73.

Thanks, T2R9. Head pipes I knew about. Will post pics once installed.

...and the same under the hood, except for the ISO K frame.
