GlenRay Radiators in Wausau WI is going into retirement.

A buddy of mine just got his heater core returned without being re-cored.. So it looks like something is going on...

I don't like to see a Mopar supplier close down. From what I have read, they did excellent work.

Wow. I dropped off a radiator at Carlisle. Maybe it got done? Hope everything's ok.

The tool guy that comes around the shop talked to Bob on the phone a week or so ago. Bob said that he's doing work for the rest of the year and that's it. He's supposedly not taking in any more radiator jobs and wants to finish up existing radiator orders. He agreed to check his heater core but won't do his radiator. Such a bummer, Bob did the heater core and radiator for our Charger and did a beautiful job.

Not inexpensive or quick, but the quality of Glen Ray’s craftsmanship is unrivaled. Hopefully someone will step up and buy the business. It would be a shame to see such a well established vendor just go away…

Wow, that’s unfortunate. He did a heater core for me a few years ago and it was great and fast too. Also discussed radiators with him once and he was really helpful. I hope someone can pick up his business and run it as well.

I also dropped a radiator off in July. I guess I need to make a call...

I have an old school radiator guy local; he went to school with my sister who is 10 years older than me......I just picked up a heater core, he's bouncing around like a young guy

That is good to know as I will need the Road Runner’s done at some point. I debated on bringing it to Carlisle to drop off this summer and said “nah I have time”.

no problem..... I was unaware that building a radiator was some sort of magical feat

So any recommendations on next best place to have one restored? I have a radiator and a heater core I was looking to send out soon.

I am lucky to have the same in my town. Even better, his son is in the business, and knows his stuff.

I got a old time radiator shop one county away from me. Does excellent work and reasonable.
But, it's not like the old day's. Where you could find them and starter and alternator shops everywhere.

That's a shame, bought their 26" radiator brackets for 22" radiator supports. Was planning on either buying a 26" from them or having them recore my 22. Guess not now.
