Mostly limiting choices to High Impact colors + black. In addition I'm limiting it to B Bodes because smaller cars might appear different in the same color. I know most of you would never sell your cars but do you have an opinion? I remember reading Hemmings Muscle Machines auction results section showed some cars having a lower price than averaage just based on color.

If you have some custom color list that. Like the green on the Mutant Bee.

I have seen great cars take a beating at auctions for being in an unpopular color, even tho it was the correct original.
I remember seeing that Hemmings survey too, but I don't recall much of the results, other than I was surprised that one of the yellows did well.
Personal opinion, on a B-body? Resale red, or B5 blue.
I think some colors popular on A and E bodies don't look great on B's.
And I will never buy another black car, unless it's almost free.

It would seem "earth tones" would be the least popular. While bright, catch-the-eye colors "impact" the sensors more favorably.

Red, Blue and Black (especially on Chargers) usually look good, although I would not own another black car. The high impact colors look better on E-Bodies IMO.

I've sold six second generation GTXs over five decades. One high impact lemon twist yellow, one QQ1 blue, one avocado green, three R6 scorch red. Differences in options, so not a pure apples to apples comparison. The yellow car generated the least buyer interest, but that was back in 1980. The red cars generated far and away the most interest. Current one is not for sale until I'm dead, but I turned down an offer two years ago that was nearly double book value. The blue car sold at a premium without advertising. The buyer was after me for five years, wanted one in that color only.

I'm thinking about the '70 Coronet 500. Although it's a very original car The cream color is not great for resale. B Bodies in yellow bug me. I'm old enough to know when these B Bodies were popular taxis. I thought I wanted it in bronze with a white top like my friend's Super Bee then I saw one without the Skyjackers and the huge rear wheels and tires and it was just boring. Our '71 Challenger is in 1970 Sublime and I love it but not so much on a big car. The '71 Charger is Hemi Orange and I like that but I don't want two cars that color. The Coronet has a saddle tan interior. I like gunmetal gray cars but not with this interior.

It's weird that my '69 Charger is silver with a black top and has a blue leather interior.

You are correct that the interior color dictates the exterior color options.

Be careful. Having done many cars over the decades, on one car I selected a color I previously didn't care for. After I finished it, I changed my mind and loved it so much that I kept the car !

I bought a car I wanted in spite of the color. Over time, I fell in love with the color. It also helps that the color is fairly rare on Mopars (butterscotch/Bahama yellow). I'm fully aware that others hate it. I sure wouldn't recommend anybody paint theirs that color, unless of course, that is the original color!

But, I gotta ask. WileE, what was the color?

Red would go well with a saddle tan interior, as would B5 or 7. My opinion only.
My favorite color scheme is gunmetal gray metallic with coral accent or two-tone (pink!?). It would look terrible on a 70 Coronet, lol.

While the retail red theory has a long history, I think that every Mopar looks good in Silver. New car buyers order a lot of silver cars

Can you confirm the color of the interior? And are you keeping it that color?
