Do YOU go 3 or more days between showers ???

Wow 7 pages and going strong- body odor the gift that keeps on giving. Guess we need a thread about farting stories next.
I can go a week without showering when I am out camping, does not bother me at all but hey that covid thing was a good excuse for everybody to keep their distance.

After the farting thread we will have one on wiping.

This is not the direction that I wanted nor intended.

In my early years on the truck, decades before the advent of electronic logs, I often ran all the miles I could stay awake. Choices were made between sleep, eating, and showers. It wasn't always possible to do all three. A 72 hour tour without a shower was a low point of the job. Daily showers, and adequate sleep are my greatest joys in retirement.

When I ran team in the early 80s, when we switched drivers, the guy going in the bunk would shower, while the guy taking the wheel would coffee up and eat. The company wouldn't tolerate bad hygiene, and that enabled me to work for that outfit the whole way through law school.

I ran team on and off the first ten years I drove...

We would often run 6-8,000 miles per week... like 68babyblue said one guy eats the other guy showers IF you could find a joint with good showers.

Often it was a home made shower in the shop next to the air compressor and the water heater. Stood on a wooden pallet inside a shower stall made of an old shower curtain.

I often carried a couple milk jugs with me. I would fill them with hot water. If I was stuck on a job site for days waiting to unload or caught in line at Hershey or Pebble Beach with a load of cars I would shower late at night one gallon to wash one gallon to rinse! It works...

Alright guys , I did the research, just in case anyone wondered how it worked. I bought one of those magic deodorants. I took my normal morning shower , put on my normal deodorant just in case it didn’t work. And boy I’m glad I did because that stuff didn’t stick around long!!!!! Maybe if you just sit in your house and never leave your couch it might last 3 days , or maybe if you work in a climate controlled office it might work.

But if you’re actually doing hard work subject to the weather, or maybe you can use it as a touch up before you go to the store after work because it’s less likely to melt then a stick of deodorant, please shower……..with soap….and water
