Went to the nostalgia races today. We planned to race my truck but my son wasn't feeling great today.
So he couldn't make it.

I took the Plymouth to the show car field.

A beautiful day.

Then I cleaned the bugs off it when I got home.
It really shines with the ceramic coating.

8 year old KitchenAid electric oven element burnt out with a big puff of smoke. The wife was in a panic. I replaced element. Wife is back to so-called cooking.

This morning i found out that my old car has resold.
My old 1971 Hemi GTX, 4 speed car, that i owned for 32 years, has changed owners from owner #6.
Returned a phone call with the now current owner of it.
I'm sure i surprised him with telling him the history behind that GTX.

The dermatologist, skin doctor at the Mather VA, did a couple of skin cancer biopsy's on me this morning.
Now to await the results, findings, on them.
This is what i look like bandaged up, on the one that she did, on the nose.
Didn't like the needle going in, to numb up the area.

This getting older SUCKS. Back from cataract surgeon consultation. Dual lens replaced scheduled for next month. Bad eye first. Currently at 20/500. Other eye 2 weeks later at 20/200.

Murphy has me dead in his sights. (I think? If I could see him?)

Replaced my wife’s Lexus, served her well for a decade. Trading down as we age, replaced it with a cherry 2001 Honda sedan, with 45,000 miles.

How many miles did the Lexus? Bought a new 2000 Durango in late 99 and it lasted nearly 20 years but, the X didn't stop when the check engine light came on and she burned up the.....teen! Nice fully loaded truck with 3.90 LSD.

It only had 112,000, but we had it ten years, one owner little old lady car. My wife is now the little old lady, drove it to the finish line with no coolant.

I make up the difference, have a 2002 we bought in 2011 for $11k, now 237,000 miles, no issues.

My spouse and her siblings are the acid test, drive till they won’t move. Her younger sister drove a new Toyota Celica 110,000 miles and never changed or checked the oil. Hard to argue with zero maintenance costs.

Meanwhile...My GD Ram didn't want to start this morning. I've had this problem off/on for around 4 months now. In researching this issue, it is pretty common so I did all the easy stuff first and it worked...till it didn't. Changed battery, cleaned grounds, all was well till this morning. Dead. Not even a starter click. 2022 Laramie with a hair under 39k on the clock.

6.5 hours later, new starter is in. 2 weeks at the dealer to get it done under warranty. F that. NAPA delivery to the house for the win. $245 after core return.
