I tend to think that if a 50+ year old car still has its original engine, it just wasn't getting driven hard enough by its original owner. Lots of musclecars lost their motors early on. Just be glad that it got a replacement and carried on. LOL.

Oh no it’s suppose to have original engine I got the rt off the original owner but the date casting on engine I think is 6 20 67
As Doug (69Coronetrt) mentioned the 515 is the Scheduled Production Date... It may or may not be the actual production date.... My Challenger has it's original engine that was assembled the day after the cars SPD... But the Assembly Date stamped on the axle is three days after that... The K member day was stamped the same day....

Actual Assembly of the car could be months different from the Scheduled date..

At the end of the day does it really matter?

Picture of the whole stamp pad. :thumbsup:
Casting date only accounts for a bit.
Agree... Is the 6 20 67 a casting date or is it stamped on the pad?
Stamped = Engine Assembly Date...

A cast date of 6 20 67 would most likely be assembled a couple months later making it a 68 Model Year Engine...
