Hello i don't normally knock peoples products but i was so disappointed with this product after hearing all the great reviews on the product and the people running the business ,anyway i decided to order it off ebay that's the module & coil as it was to hard to order of the web site. When the unit turned up to my shock the module & coil was shoved in a plastic shipping bag & i mean a bag not in a box just a plain shipping bag from the USA all the way to Australia. When opened as expected the coil had sustained visual damage but the module seemed to have no damage so i thought. So i contacted the seller to get oh we ship them all over the world like that and had never had any complaints or damage & that the coils sometimes come from the manufacturer bruised and dented. So i decided to open a damaged item return case to find i had to pay the shipping back to the usa to get a replacement coil for their bad packing habits so i decided it's not worth the trouble for a $100 coil when it's going to cost me $100 shipping back.Anyway fast forward 5 months i finally got my car to the point of starting it to find the module also is cuput no spark unresponsive so i contact the seller and now they want me to also pay for shipping to and from if i want it repaired .I understand things go wrong with these units but this is just plain lazy disrespectful business practice to pack a electronic unit from one side of the world to the other in a plastic bag & not expect it to be damaged, surely this is not acceptable to take someone's hard earned money & not give a flying f#ck .For the $670 i could have purchased a nice MSD ignition for the same money & I'm sure i would have not been treated like this. so if anyone asks do i recommend FBO you know my answer

File a complaint with eBay, you’ll get your money back right away. The seller will be responsible for paying the return shipping.

Id say that coil is bad news by the looks of it, and there should have been a claim as soon as you saw it. But the real lesson here is that you CAN NOT wait five months to try it out and then start complaining. The seller is not going to sympathetic after that long.

The claim was put in as soon as i received it and the seller was happy to take back the coil as that was the only damage i could see but as long as i paid the shipping of $100 if you read the post & they have not refused to take back the module either but i don't think i should pay $200 shipping for someone that packed the items with undue care .would you ? am i to blame for the sellers lack of care packing habits 5 months or not this was the first opportunity to test the unit as i thought it hadn't been damaged due to no physical damage I'm sure everybody has purchased parts for there car which they haven't used months later.this post is not about getting my money back but warning others of bad practices

Did you try to contact FBO direct? Making sure they are the e-bay seller?

This situation highlights a common issue with building a car on your schedule. I'm sure many folks have been disappointed to spend extra money on defective products, whether or not it was under their control. I would like to think the manufacturers would understand our issues but, most are in business to make money, save for a few that actually love this hobby.

So it was 345.00 where to you get 670.00? Free shipping and they tell you how it was being shipped. Returns are explained. 3 year warranty. Looks like for less than 40 bucks you could ship both back. Priority Mail International - Rates & Features | USPS
Now covert it to AU dollar and that's your total $670 & international shipping is not free. throwing an electrical component in a plastic bag to the other side of the world is not good business practice unless you are a moron.Like i said it's the principal of treating your customers with due respect and doing the right thing in the first place like protecting their items as much as humanly possible i work hard for my money .They done the wrong thing in the first place by being careless so man up and wear the cost of your mistake not pass it on to the customer & expect them to suck it up.I run a business also & if i done this to my customers i wouldn't be in business very long

You are correct I've been stung many times but always sucked it up thinking lucky they even make stuff for these wonderful cars but their comes a point were enough is enough & this for me is that point

I agree that shipping that in a padded envelope is piss poor packaging. I would be pissed also. Sucks that they will not work with you. Maybe there is fine print for international returns, but still - how do they expect it not to get damaged with that packaging.

You should of immediately filed a claim as damaged. The process to take care of the situation would be on them. They are the shipper and they have processes to claim the damages. At that point they would of had to make it right or e-bay would side with you and allow a full refund. Well you still have options. Myself I would send them back with a nice letter.

I would have filed the claim with ebay asap,in the instances I've had problems it's always been resolved in a timely manner. I'm using their box, distributor, and recommended coil now,and have in the past on 2 other cars.Have you tried calling? they do answer the phone though the day hours seem short.

I always pay with paypal on ebay. I've had issues and follow the timelines and file a dispute, I've always got my monies back.

$100 if you read the post & they have not refused to take back the module either but i
I read it. How was the module damaged in shipping?
Im with ya....nobody likes a raw deal, but my statement stands.....5 months is too long to try it out and see if it works....there are other possibilities beyond their control. Its not really their fault you are on the other side of the world and shipping costs a fortune.

If they believe your stuff got ruined in shipping, they should send you replacements....why would they want the damaged merch back??
