I have a 2012 challenger r/t classic and it's time for tires. I don't drive it much as it on has 70k miles on it. I rarely drive it in the rain and never when there is salt on road. Having said that what are you guys with new challengers running?

You have 70k on the factory tires? What brand are they?
No I put these on around 30k miles after I ran the original tires hard. The ones on now are continental extreme sport2. They handle well and grip hard. I used to be able to chirp second and 3rd gear with originals but not with the continental.
Curious as what you guys are using

I'm running Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06, 275/40R20, on my 2107 Challenger T/A 392. I'm happy with these. They are much better than the factory Pirelli P Zero tires. I'll use Continentals again when it is time to replace them.

The car can readily overpower them though, but they hold a little better than the Pirellis.

I'm running the factory installed Goodyear Eagle RS-A, 245/45R20 on my 2021 Challenger Scat Pack. These are okay so far, but when it is time for replacement, I'll go with Continental Extreme Contact for it too, and increase the size to 275/40ZR20.

This car can readily overpower these too, but I expect the Continentals to hold a little better on this one too.

I have the same Good Year Eagles on my 2012 Challenger R/T Classic. The same 245's on the front but 275's on the rear.

I know tires can make or break the handling of a vehicle. Several years ago a friend game me a set of nearly new Goodyear Eagle LS. They were 255-65-15. He was going to a lower profile. Anyways, I stuck em on a set of 15x8 Durango wheels and well, I couldn't believe the difference they made on that 95 v6 truck. With the stock skinnies it wasn't too bad but didn't realize that just doing a wheel and tire change could make such a bit difference. No more understeer at all and could haul butt into the freeway interchanges. My 66 /6 Belvedere responded well with bigger wheels, tires, lowering and better shocks but no way could it do what the Dakota did.

The change to attruo brand performance 17" tires on my fury vs the crap 15" I had was astounding. It's no sports car but wow.
And when I tried them on my charger for awhile the grip on clutch dump vs just spinning the bfg's was huge.

I would never, ever buy Continental crap. On my new 06 years ago, they wore at 24k miles. Evidently they got sued. Received a card in the mail with the settlement of said lawsuit. Entitled me to $5 off any purchase of a Continental tire. No, that's not a joke. They can stick their tires where the sun don't shine. I've had excellent results with Cooper over the years.

My '05 Magnum R/T came with Continentals from the factory. They were $hit! I bought the car as used 3-year-old with only 18,000 km. on it, and the tires were pretty well used up already. I replaced them with BFG's.
