Proforge greasable pivot, poly LCA bushing, and with weight of car (with engine) on front suspension, provided pivot lock nut spinning pivot prohibiting torque to 130lb/ft. Any advice appreciated.
For the 70 unit I'm using for my 65, I cut windows in too like you did.On my 67 I also cut a hole in the k-frame in order to weld the front of the LCA pivot shaft to the k-frame, it's only welded to the k-frame on the rear, and you cannot weld the front from the outside.
Maybe if you cut the pivot shaft opening wider, making sure not to mess up the shaft sleeves.
Fyi: the reinforcement kits include a washer for the one side of the LCA mount, but not the other.
Not that another washer would help anyway.
It's the other side that is hanging free inside the k-frame, not welded to anything.
I welded it up on the inside now the LCA mounting is secure front and rear.
