I'm looking to install a console in place of the buddy seat. I am repairing the wiring harness for the console. Only thing it, where does the neutral safety switch come into play in the console? The harness I have has the backup light switch, but I just don't see anything for the neutral safety. The wiring diagram only mentions the neutral safety on the starter relay and nothing else after that. Thanks, guy.

Awesome, Thank You. Is it a common thing for one of the leads for what I think is a console light to be burned out? The wire from the shift indicator light is fried. I’m going to repair it and use this harness, but prevent add a fuse to this lead.

Welcome. I switched all my bulbs to LED since the original bulbs can get rather hot and burn the plastic lens. If you need any parts PM me, I might be able to help with a source. I added a C body rear bezel on my console with the lighter and light.

Yes, I plan on doing the same thing. It makes a big difference with the lighting in the car as well.

I thought about just using it for a USB port for my many passengers.
Many passengers! Early 70’s, we one time had 7 people in the Charger going from one pavilion to another in our city’s Folkfest. This was a festival that had groups showcasing their countries lifestyle and food etc. Wonderful time! The City even had busses that went from pavilion to pavilion. It is a 3 day affair and is still running.
Had to try haggis, pretty boring!

Back in the early 80’s when I was 16, your talking 1981 or so. A friend and me were cruising in Long Island in my 70 Charger on Route 231. It was a popular cruise lane. We picked up 6 girls. We put 4 in the back one on the console and one on my lap. The car was just about hitting the ground. You made me think of a memory from a long time ago.
